Judy Ellis, the senior VP and New York City market manager for Emmis Communications Corp., will leave the company when her contract expires on February 28, 2003. Ellis joined Emmis in August, 1986 when the company purchased WQHT(FM) from Doubleday Broadcasting Company. Her departure will mark the end of a 17-year career with Emmis in one of the United States’ largest radio clusters. She plans to continue her current duties and provide consulting services to Emmis beyond the transition. The company is currently searching for a successor.
