James Conner has been chosen as the new general manager of Network Indiana, effective Jan. 30. He most recently served as general manager for Emmis’ Terre Haute cluster, a position he held for 22 years.
Network Indiana is a statewide news network providing news, sports and business programming to affiliated stations.
He began his broadcast career in 1986 as an intern in Emmis Indiana promotions department.
Conner has served 15 years on the Indiana Broadcasters board of directors, was chairman of the board in 2010 and was awarded the Tom Severino Leadership Award in 2010.
Emmis Communications Corp. is a diversified media company, principally focused on radio broadcasting. Emmis owns 19 FM and four AM radio stations in New York; Los Angeles; St. Louis, Mo.; Austin, Texas; Indianapolis; and Terre Haute, Ind.
