A new network has boosted the presence of Emmis International in Europe. After two years of preparation, Emmis Belgium Broadcasting NV, owned by Emmis International, recently launched Be One in nine cities across Flanders.
Main studios are in Ternat, Belgium, with a satellite link to outlets in Oostende, Brugge, Kortrijk, Ghent, Aalst, Brussels, Leuven and Hasselt.
Be One employs some 35 staffers and has a business plan based on its nine-year license. With the parent company providing the necessary resources, Managing Director Jan D’Haese said Be One is determined to break even within four years.
