empeg.pl has introduced the SML Java Player, enabling users of OS X and Linux to access audio logged by the Stirlitz Media Logger (SML) application.

The Java-based version of SML Player includes all the features of the standard SML Player, including the Timeline-based user interface, one-click audio export and bookmarking. Because the SML Java Player runs within a Web browser, it is not necessary to install specific programs in order to access the audio logs.

The SML multichannel software audio logger combines logged audio with playout system metadata and GPI events from the console, assisting in air-checking on-air talent.
