Empire State Examines New Media

Seminar by N.Y. State Broadcasters Association is for radio and TV

It’s never too soon to learn about “new media.”

To educate members as to how new media can help them, the New York State Broadcasters Association is conducting a “Digital Media Leadership Academy” early next week (May 18-19).

Happeningat the Doral Arrowwood Resort in Westchester County, the gathering will feature “30 of the state’s brightest broadcast sales professionals” in addresses and sessions. The thrust is improving ad sales via new digital venue and using new digital tools.

Leading off the proceedings is the seemingly omnipresent market guru Seth Godin. Other speakers include Greg Smith, COO Neo@Ogilvy North America; Stephen Worley, founder, LocalBroadcastSales; Rich Lobel, executive vice president, Altitude Group, CBS Radio and Mike Aronow, director of sales development, CBS Radio Digital Media Group.
