In the latest audience survey, Radio Energy 104,2 won its target audience, beating out all other private stations in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
In the GfK Austria Radiotest survey for the first six months of 2008, Radio Energy had a daily Monday–Friday reach of 10.5 percent and a Monday–Sunday reach of 9.9 percent among its target audience of 14- to 49-year-olds.
Radio Energy offers a music format featuring R&B, house and modern pop, and has also sought to boost its audience through promotions that have included the Energy in the Park concert event.
“With the current result, we see that Energy 104,2 is back on track; we finally got the standing that we deserve in the Vienna private radio market,” said Radio Energy General Manager Aline Basel.
According to Basel, the ratings win is the result of a “clear strategy” for the station that will continue to shape its development.
“The strategy will help us grow even more in the next years and it will connect our clients and partners with a large audience and offer efficient mass media possibilities,” Basel said.
