Entercom Boston is planning to syndicate the programming of WEEI Sports Radio across the New England region.
The broadcaster says it has successfully extended the WEEI brand on three of its wholly owned stations: WEEI(FM) in Providence, R.I.; WVEI(FM) in Springfield, Mass.; and WVEI(AM) in Worcester, Mass.
The company will meet with interested parties over the next few weeks, with the goal to launch a syndicated regional network during the spring ratings period.
“The business plan that we are offering stations will allow them to immediately improve ratings and revenue, compete better in audio, visual and experiential media, fix their expenses and build profits,” said Julie Kahn, vice president and market manager for Entercom in New England.
