Entercom COO to Receive Rockwell Award

Also names new PD for KMNB and a morning show producer in Phoenix

Entercom has shared updates about several employees.

Entercom Chief Operating Officer Weezie Kramer will be recognized with the 2018 Rockwell Award from The Conclave. She will receive the award at the 2018 Conclave Summer Learning Conference, July 18–20 in Minneapolis.

Kramer joined Entercom in 2000 as a regional vice president overseeing five markets, and was promoted to her current role in 2014. Prior to Entercom, Kramer held sales and leadership roles; she spent 12 years at CBS Radio, where she was VP and a market manager.

“The Rockwell Award honors leaders and mentors who have made a lasting impact on our storied industry. Weezie has, and continues, to do just that,” said The Conclave Board of Directors Executive Director Emeritus Tom Kay.

Prior Rockwell Award honorees include: Hubbard Broadcasting CEO Ginny Morris; NRG Media CEO Mary Quass, Midwest Communications CEO Duke Wright, iHeartMedia Sr. Advisor Broadcast Relations Dan Mason and AccuRadio COO/Chairman John Gehron.

Also, Entercom has upped Lucas Phelan to program director for KMNB(FM) in Minneapolis. This is in addition to Phelan’s on-air role. Phelan was previously the assistant program director for the station. He has more than 17 years of industry experience.

Additionally, the company named Shannon Beaver as morning show producer for “The Morning Mess” on KALV(FM) in Phoenix. Prior to joining Entercom, Beaver was at KZZP in Phoenix. She joined the team in 2010 and was promoted to morning show producer.
