Also taps DJ JPS for drive host and music director in Miami

Entercom Kansas City has promoted Steven Spector to program director for KCSP(AM). The broadcaster also announced Jessie “DJ JPS” Penate has been named night drive host and music director for WPOW(FM) in Miami.

Spector most recently served as KCSP assistant PD as well as producer of “The Drive” with Carrington Harrison and Brad Fanning. He joined the cluster in 2013 as a producer for the station’s “Fescoe in the Morning.” Spector got his first radio gig in 2008 working for Washington’s WTEM(AM).

Penate was hired by WPOW(FM) in 2016 after he won its “Mix Master” competition. He’s served as midday drive talent and a mixer and also worked in those roles for sister station WKIS(FM). According to the announcement, Penate grew up listening to WPOW.
