Entercom Promotes Paxton

SVP of programming moves up to president of programming

Entercom Communications Corp. says Senior Vice President of Programming Pat Paxton has been promoted to president of programming.

Paxton has been with Entercom since 1999, first as operations manager for WQSX(FM), Star 93.7, in Boston and then as Entercom’s director of AC and CHR programming. He was promoted to senior vice president of programming in 2001.

Before working with Entercom, Paxton was the national program director for Nationwide Communications. His career in radio also includes stints as program director for many stations across the country including WOMX(FM) in Orlando, Fla., and KHMX(FM) in Houston. Paxton also served as weather anchor at KCAU(TV), the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa, and as a consultant for Zapoleon Media Strategies in Houston.

Entercom has a nationwide portfolio of over 100 stations in 23 markets.
