Entercom Sacramento Names PD for KDND & KUDL

South Florida station adds music director/host

Tim “Rayne” Rainey

Entercom Sacramento has hired a new program director for its KDND(FM) and KUDL(FM) stations. Tim “Rayne” Rainey fills the position previously held by Nikki Nite.

“When I was a teenager, KDND was my ‘Z100’! I loved driving through the Sacramento Valley and listening to KDND, one of California’s premiere top 40 stations, and I’m excited about the potential that awaits Star 106.5, another legendary frequency in central California,” said Rayne.

“Rayne loves radio,” said Operations Manager Jim Fox. “He’s an encyclopedia of historical concepts, many of which remain as sound today as when they were conceived. He’s also a millennial who embraces social, digital and sound new programming strategies. I’m excited to have him joining our cluster.”

Rayne will start in Sacramento Oct. 26.

He has been PD/ brand manager at WDZH(FM) in Detroit since 2012. He held the same position at WNOU(FM) in Indianapolis from 2007 through 2011.

Entercom Sacramento consists of KDND, KUDL, KKDO(FM), KRXQ(FM), KSEG(FM) and KCTC(AM).

David “Spam” Meyers

Entercom South Florida station WSFS(FM) has hired David “Spam” Meyers as the music director and host of afternoon drive on the station. He will start Oct. 26, and he joins current midday host, Deena Lang, who will be on the air every weekday from 10 a.m. –3 p.m.

Myers joins Entercom from Baltimore, where he has most recently been assisting with programming and production at WIYY(FM).

He is also an alum of WHFS(FM) Washington-Baltimore, and he spent two decades at the station and serving as APD/MD/afternoons for its final run as “HFS at 97.5.”

“His passion for music and experience in the alternative format is unrivaled and Spam will be a great addition to our dynamic weekday line up,” said Program Director John O’Connell
