ERI said it has begun a “comprehensive campaign” to make its tower owners aware of regulatory changes, safety concerns and maintenance issues.
“OSHA may soon require that tower safetyclimb devices be installed, or other positive climber attachments be utilized,” it stated. “If the tower does not have ladders and platforms in accordance with OSHA standards, warning signs must be installed. ERI now offers these signs along with other
safety signs.”
For example, ERI said it can help owners adhere to the standard for inspection frequency in the TIA/EIA-222-F Standard Manual.
