ESPN Radio turns 15 next week.
The all-sports network debuted on Jan. 1, 1992 with weekday drive-time commentaries, then launched its weekend programming Saturday, Jan. 4.
In its initial weekend, ESPN Radio’s GameNight reported that free agent player Danny Tartabull would sign with the New York Yankees. The network says GameNight broke the news to Yankees manager Buck Showalter during an on-air-interview.
