A look at last year’s ESPN Audio Avenue.
May 23 will be a busy day at ESPN Radio’s Bristol, Conn., headquarters when on-air representatives from 16 stations gather for the second Audio Avenue.
Audio Avenue II, as it’s being called, follows on last year’s event, the original Audio Avenue (see photo). The festivities start at 6 a.m. (ET) with the “Mike & Mike in the Morning” program. Programs from ESPN-owned stations in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York will be on-site and airing.
Joining them will be shows from affiliates from Albuquerque, N.M., Bowling Green, Ky., Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Hartford, Conn., Minneapolis, Phoenix, Raleigh, N.C., Syracuse, N.Y. and the Dominican Republic. Several Spanish-language stations will be involved.
Along with the broadcasts will be other events featuring ESPN personnel and informational session, including one examining production of the “Mike & Mike in the Morning” show. Some shows will also simulcast on ESPN TV outlets — “Mike & Mike in the Morning,” “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” and the “Scott Van Pelt Show.”
