Tieline is now officially part of the Audio-via-IP Experts Group.
As RW reported in December, Tieline was invited to join the working group of manufacturers founded by Mayah Communications and Aeta Audio in 2006. Orban Europe is also a member of the group.
Their goal is to coordinate technical efforts in order to achieve “interoperability of audio codec products on the IP level using SIP/RTP protocols,” as described in draft recommendations from the European Broadcasting Union.
Detlef Wiese of Mayah stated in the announcement that he hopes more companies will join the initiative. “It is so good to find more partners supporting the EBU N/ACIP recommendations. Customers now can choose standard conform solutions from four manufacturers.”
