Expansion Planned at NHPR

New Hampshire Public Radio will marking its 25th anniversary with an event on Oct. 11 at the future site of a new 20,000-square-foot studio, at 2 Pillsbury Street in Concord.
“NHPR has grown from serving the Concord Region to being a source of news and information for all of New Hampshire,” said President/CEO Betsy Gardella, NHPR. The station will announce an effort “to bring a statewide digital signal to New Hampshire, along with a new studio that will allow the station to bring its listeners the best use of new technologies.”
The organization, she said, is investing a half-million dollars to upgrade its broadcasting technology and facility. It plans a “Campaign for New Hampshire Public Radio; 21st Century Radio for the Granite State.” NPR’s Liane Hansen from “Weekend Edition Sunday” will take part.
