The NAB has announced a rough guide for its engineering program at the 2011 Radio Show, Sept. 14–16 in Chicago.
For engineers, the first day of the show is entitled “Studio/Production Day: The Modern Multi-platform Radio Station.” Sessions will be devoted to facility design, including acoustics, networking (including IT considerations), HVAC, equipment and social media considerations.
Day 2 brings “Transmission/Distribution Day: Operating More Efficiently.” Transmitter case studies will be presented along with addressing the expanding multiplatform world of distribution conduits.
The final day of the show is “Tower Day: Management, Maintenance & Safety.” The subject matter is evident but the NAB adds, “Discover ways to turn your tower into a potential profit center.”
Registration for the fall show is open.
