Here’s a session for legal eagles at the NAB Radio Show next week.
The session, “Performance Tax to Digital Radio: Today’s Hottest Radio Issues” takes place next Thursday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Topics to be discussed include the use of FM translators by AM stations, the proposed merger of the satellite radio companies, the HD-R rollout and the recording industry’s push to levy a performance fee on radio.
Panelists include the FCC’s Audio Division Chief Peter Doyle; Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth attorney Frank Jazzo; Womble Carlyle attorney John Garziglia; Davis Wright Tremaine attorney David Oxenford; Radio and Internet Newsletter Publisher Kurt Hanson; and NAB Associate General Counsel Suzanne Head. Peggy Binzel of PR and marketing firm FD Dittus is also on the panel.
