The Klamath Falls SDA Church in Klamath Falls, Ore., now has a license for its new noncommercial educational station thanks to rejection of a petition to deny that had been filed by religious broadcaster UCB USA.
Both groups had sought to obtain a license for the area — UCB USA wanted to serve nearby Altamont, Ore., as part of the NCE Mutually Exclusive Group No. 208 application process. Initially the FCC chose Klamath Falls SDA Church; UCB USA filed a petition to deny on technical and procedural grounds.
After slight amendments of the application and an examination by the FCC, the agency rejected UCB USA’s petition to deny and the Klamath Falls SDA Church can proceed on its station.
