FCC Buys V-Soft AM-Pro 2 Licenses

The product is to be used for groundwave, skywave allocation analysis and RSS nighttime interference calculations.

The FCC has acquired 11 licenses of V-Soft Communications’ AM-Pro 2 software.

The product is to be used for groundwave, skywave allocation analysis and RSS nighttime interference calculations. Nine of the eleven licenses were purchased by the Audio Division of the Media Bureau, “where the programs will be used as a primary resource tool by the AM engineering staff,” V-Soft stated. Two licenses were purchased by the International Bureau.

Separately, the FCC’s Office of Engineering Technology Division acquired V-Soft’s Probe 3 propagation prediction program.

AM-Pro 2 software won the Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award this spring; a QuickTime video booth demo is here.
