How many pirates does New York have?
The commission has reaffirmed penalties levied against New Yorkers Fernando Alejandro and Emmanuel Frederic $10,000 each for operating a station without a license. For Alejandro, the frequency was 95.1 MHz and for Frederic, on both 87.9 and 89.7 MHz. The FCC said neither responded to the original notice; now they both have 30 days to pay.
Last week, the FCC levied a $10,000 fine against Rawlins Charles of Brooklyn for operating an unlicensed at 96.7 MHz.
