Thirty applicants want to take part in Auction 88, a closed auction of mostly FM construction permits due to begin July 20.
The FCC said 22 applications are complete and eight are not; it’s giving those eight information about how to make their applications complete and allowing them until June 17 to send in completed forms along with upfront payments.
Up for bidding in this closed auction are CPs for 11 commercial FMs, one commercial FM translator and one commercial AM station.
All applicants that the FCC finds to be qualified bidders can take part in a mock auction on July 16. The agency encourages this, so applicants can become familiar with the commission’s Integrated Spectrum Auction System.
