Anthrax contaminated the FCC’s off-site mail processing facility in Capitol Heights, Md., so the agency has temporarily stopped all of its mail delivery. The filing window at 236 Massachusetts Ave., NE for hand-delivered or messenger-delivered paper filings is unaffected.
The Center for Disease Control has completed the testing of the small trace of anthrax that was found during a routine test last week of the FCC off-site mail processing facility in Capitol Heights, Md. CDC said the trace showed a scant amount of anthrax. The Capitol Heights mail processing area will be decontaminated and retested.
