FCC: Jackson Incident Was Indecent

In response to the CBS filing on indecency (see story above), the commission said it would defend its ruling.
In a statement, agency spokeswoman Tamara Lipper said: “The commission will vigorously defend the Forfeiture Order issued against CBS. CBS’ continued insistence that the half-time show was not indecent demonstrates that it is out of touch with the American people. Millions of parents, as well as Congress, understand what CBS does not: Janet Jackson’s ‘wardrobe malfunction’ was indeed indecent.”
