The FCC will hold two webinars for would-be low-power FM station owners. The aim is to answer questions on how to apply for a new LPFM license once the agency opens an application window Oct. 15.
The first webinar is slated for Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. Topics include an overview of the LPFM service, instructions on creating an account in the commission’s electronic database and on how to fill out the application (Form 318) for a new LPFM.
The second webinar will be held in early October and the agency plans to announce those details later.
The webinars will be streamed at: www.fcc.gov/live with presentations available during and afterwards at: www.fcc.gov/events/webinars-low-power-fm-radio. Participants can email questions during the webinars to lpfm@fcc.gov or submit questions using Twitter using the hashtag, #LPFMquestions.
