Communications law firm Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis LLP has added Michael T. Mullinix as its new technology policy adviser.

Mullinix previously served as a senior electrical engineer for the Federal Communications Commission’s International Bureau for 14 years. While there, he was named winner of the FCC’s Excellence in Engineering Award for outstanding engineering contributions to the commission four times.

He will assist counsel in representing clients before multiple federal agencies and also will work directly with the International Telecommunication Union, including the Radiocommunication and Telecommunication Standardization Sectors and the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission.

“Mike has long been one of the FCC’s engineering stars, and has handled some of the commission’s most important and delicate spectrum matters at the ITU,” said Scott Blake Harris, chairman of Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis. “We look forward to making his engineering knowledge, and his international and government expertise, available to our clients”

Mullinix is a graduate of the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland.
