FCC Shifts

FCC Chairman Michael Powell named Bryan Tramont his senior legal advisor. Tramont will be responsible for wireless and international issues. Since June 2001, Tramont has served as senior legal advisor to FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy. In that position, he advised Abernathy on wireless, international, technology and enforcement issues.
Peter Tenhula, former senior legal advisor to Powell, was named co-director of the commission’s Spectrum Policy Task Force. In his new position, Tenhula will be working closely with Dr. Paul Kolodzy, current director of the Task Force, on the next phases of its mission. Tenhula will be primarily responsible for coordinating all commission spectrum policy activities across the various bureaus, with Congress and with the administration.
