Rules to formalize IBOC authorization are on the FCC’s agenda for its monthly meeting next Thursday, July 13.
The commission will consider a Second Report and Order and a First Order on Reconsideration. But it’s also going to consider a Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding digital audio broadcasting.
Odds are that multicasting and AM nighttime will be included in commission action.
