For those EAS participants who are still struggling with registration of the EAS Test Reporting System — or haven’t begun the process at all — a new webinar may offer some help.
As all broadcasters and cable systems should be aware by now, the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be issuing a national EAS test on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 1:20 p.m. Central.
To help broadcasters register within the ETRS system in preparation for the September EAS test, the Federal Communications Commission is conducting an EAS webinar tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, 2 p.m. (ET), to help participants complete Form One, the initial registration form. That form must be completed by Aug. 26, with corrections to the form made up to Sept. 26.
