The FCC has confirmed it will fine an owner in South Carolina $8,000 for violation of its EAS rules. The case involves the failure of WCSZ(AM) in San Souci to have operational gear.
The licensee is WHYZ Radio LP. The FCC said its Atlanta office issued a notice of apparent liability last April, and the station has not filed a response.
