What the commission shutdown means to broadcasters

Visitors to the FCC’s website will now see a federal government “shutdown” page.

The information includes what we’ve reported and more details.

Essentially, the agency is limited to performing duties that are “immediately necessary” to protect lives or property. The FCC’s “Network Outage Reporting System” will remain available.

The commission’s online systems, including its online filing database, will not be available “until further notice.”
