FEBC Adds Nautel NV20 at DZFE

First NV20 in the Philippines helps extend reach for DZFE across Metro Manila

The Far East Broadcasting Co. (FEBC) recently installed a Nautel NV20 FM transmitter for its station DZFE in Metro Manila, Philippines. The transmitter went into use at the end of March and is the first NV20 on-the-air in the Philippines.

“FEBC has been long time Nautel users, and we are happy to have our broadcast powered by the first NV20 in the Philippines,” said DZFE Station Manager Tiffany Liong.

The NV20 offers digital-ready operation, real-time instrument-grade spectral analysis, adaptive precorrection for exceptional linearity and an Advanced User Interface with local and remote control.

“The reliability of the transmitter was an important factor in our selection of this product,” said Chief Technician Ronald Abelilla. “We required good redundancy of critical components and were especially interested in this transmitter’s remote connectivity because of split-operation situations in our network.”

Nautel distributor Broadcast World Philippines Systems Inc. provided system integration services for the installation.

According to Abelilla, the new transmitter has “substantially improved” DZFE’s coverage throughout the Greater Manila area.
