Dan Patrick is leaving ESPN.
The final radio broadcast of ESPN Radio’s “Dan Patrick Show” will be on Aug. 17. An agreement between Patrick and ESPN allows him to pursue interests outside of ESPN, and will bring to an end his involvement with ESPN’s radio, television and magazine outlets.
That week, ESPN Radio plans to look back at memorable moments and feature special guests and interviews.
Patrick has hosted the show since 1999. He recently served as host of the NBA studio program on ABC, “NBA Countdown,” and the network’s game broadcasts, including the NBA Finals. Prior to ESPN, Patrick was a sports anchor/reporter for CNN from 1983-89.
