HD Radio is on the air in Tampa. WUSF(FM) believes it is the first public station to go HD-R. The station, at 89.7 MHz, is using Harris transmission gear. JoAnn Urofsky is general manager and Mike O’Shea is chief engineer. The station for the University of South Florida serves Tampa and west central Florida. It turned on the digital Feb. 13.
