The FCC’s latest auction of FM construction permits raised a net total of $4.1 million.
After 47 rounds of bidding over 10 days, Auction 94 ended May 6. The commission has now released the final results.
Fifty-five bidders won a total of 93 FM permits.
The highest bid, over $2 million, came from Robinson Entertainment for a Class A construction permit in Lake Park, Fla., near Palm Beach. The next highest bids were $452,000 from Denise Esserman for a Class C3 CP in St. Simons, Island, Ga. and $449,000 from Ricardo Arroyo for a Class A CP in Silver Springs, Fla.
At the other end of the scale, the smallest bid was $750 from Resonance Media Group to build a Class C0 in Grand Portage, Minn. and $830 from Alexandria Communications to build a Class A in Ione, Ore.
Down payments are due to the FCC on May 29, with final payments due June 12.
