FM Translator Auction Filing Window Extended

The FCC has extended an auction filing window for applications for new FM translator stations and major modifications to authorized FM translator facilities in the non-reserved FM band. The new deadline is March 17.
The commission will be completing certain technical upgrades March 8 and 9. On these dates filers will be unable to access the Consolidated Database System, which is used to electronically file the Form 349 component of the FM translator auction application. To accommodate these upgrades and promote a more reliable filing process for interested parties, the FCC announced a delay in the start of the Form 349 filing window until March 10. To ensure adequate time to complete all filings, the window will be extended until March 17.
The freeze on the acceptance of FM translator and FM booster minor change construction permit applications and FM booster new construction permit applications is also extended through March 17.
