Ford's U.K. Eureka-147 Campaign Begins

Ford says it will sell cars with a digital radio option in the U.K. – the Eureka-147 version of digital radio technology. The car company is spearheading its promotion with a radio advertising campaign designed to drive car-buyers to their local Ford dealer where they can get information or experience in-car DAB with the Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB 52 digital radio which includes AM/FM, CD, MP3 and digital capabilities.
Ford initially said it would take this step in 2004, but has brought its plans forward by a year, according to the World DAB Forum, which promotes Eureka-147 technology. The Ford radio advertising campaign, will appear on over 250 British analog radio stations, as well as some DAB digital radio services, featuring a racing driver and TV personality.
