Former WKTU Intern Tapped for CC New York Marketing

Clear Channel San Diego names new vice president of programming

Marc Rivieccio has been promoted to director of marketing for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment New York. 

Rivieccio will oversee marketing and promotions for the New York’s cluster, which includes WHTZ(FM), WLTW(FM), WKTU(FM), WWPR(FM), WAXQ(FM) and WOR(AM), and will manage the planning and execution of events, such as WHTZ’s Jingle Ball, KTUphoria and WLTW’s Broadway in Bryant Park.

Rivieccio has worked for Clear Channel New York since 1999, when he started as an intern at WKTU. He most recently served as director of promotions for the cluster’s events. 

He has also led the operations for the iHeartRadio Theater, Presented by P.C. Richard and Son, since its opening in 2009 and has been a involved in the planning and on-site execution team for the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

John Peake

Rivieccio will report to Thea Mitchum, vice president of programming for Clear Channel New York.

Clear Channel San Diego, which owns and operates KGB(FM), KHTS(FM), KIOZ(FM), KLSD(AM), KMYI(FM), KOGO(FM) and KOGO(AM), has chosen John Peake as its new vice president of programming, effective Feb. 18. He will also serve as program director for Star 94.1 KMYI(FM).

Peake recently served as vice president of programming for Clear Channel Seattle where he managed KUBE(FM), KBKS(FM), KJR(AM/FM) and KHHO(AM). Previously, Peake was the show director for Johnjay & Rich, which was broadcast on a seven-station network. According to a release, his work at KRBE(FM) Houston drove the station to No. 1 in Texas, and his rebranding efforts at KLLC(FM) in San Francisco led the station to record ratings. Peake has also worked as the mission director at the NRJ Radio Group in Paris.
