Four House Members, Reps. Ralph Hall, R-Texas; Ron Lewis, R-Ky.; Greg Walden, R-Ore.; and John Tanner, D-Tenn., have added their names as cosponsors to H.R. 4026, the satellite radio legislation. Reps. Pickering, R-Miss. and Gene Green, D-Texas, introduced the measure that would preclude satellite radio companies from inserting local content into their network of ground-based repeaters. The bill would also instruct the FCC to investigate the legality of satellite radio’s new traffic/weather channels.
