Fraunhofer plans several demonstrations of its technologies at CES, including its HD-AAC MPEG codec.
Based on the MPEG-4 SLS standard, Fraunhofer claims its HD-AAC codec provides future-proof, lossless compression of 24-bit quality music content.
The company also plans several surround sound demos including those for mobile surround sound. The product range includes mp3D, a stereo enhancement technology, MPEG Surround Binaural, providing surround sound on portable broadcast receivers and Ensonido, surround sound for mp3 players.
