Frederick's and the Power of Panties

For 55 years, Frederick’s of Hollywood never advertised. When it decided to start, Frederick’s put money into radio. Now its first series of spots is an award-winner.
The Southern California Broadcasters Association recognized a spot for outstanding creative, honoring Frederick’s and agency Fraser Communications with Best Spot of the Month for December.
The presentation took place at Frederick’s store in Hollywood during the L.A. Advertising Women’s event “The Power of Panties & Other Business Wisdom.”
The winning spot, “Flannel PJs,” features a flannel nightgown lamenting about being discarded because the woman of the house has decided to wear Frederick’s of Hollywood nighties.
The creative team was Copywriter Nancy Nelms, Copywriter/Creative Director John Krueger and Producer Leslie Johnson of Fraser Communications.
