The FCC will freeze applications for major mods for commercial and noncom FMs related to the 290 allotments up for auction this fall. The freeze is for the length of the application filing window, yet to be announced. Our earlier story on this did not make the length of the freeze clear.
Two hundred ninety station frequencies are to be auctioned Nov. 3 in auction 37. A freeze on minor mod applications is for the length of the auction application filing window, which has not yet been made public.
