FullAudio to Provide Subscription Web Music Service

FullAudio to Provide Subscription Web Music Service

FullAudio intends to provide approximately 30 co-branded subscription music services to the Clear Channel Radio station Web sites in five major U.S. markets (Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City). Expected to launch in January 2002, the service aims to provide listeners with a personalized, CD-quality music service for monthly fees of from $5 to $15.
Powered by FullAudio, the service will provide access to listener’s favorite, format-specific music, as well as a library of digital music across formats. For example, fans of KBIG (104.3 FM) in Los Angeles can, from any Web-enabled computer, listen to KBIG’s Adult Contemporary format by downloading the music online. Listeners can also register their service preferences to discover various kinds of music.
According to Jerry Kersting, Clear Channel Radio division’s chief financial officer, the FullAudio music services will provide listeners with the ability to listen to Clear Channel Radio stations far beyond the reach of those radio waves. The new services will also deliver more impressions to the advertisers on Clear Channel Radio Web sites.
