The Broadcasters Foundation of America has begun its annual fund drive.
Chairman Philip Lombardo wrote “The season for charitable giving is upon us.”
The foundation grew out of the Broadcast Pioneers, founded by H.M. Kaltenborn. It has dispensed over $2.9 million in emergency grants over the years to almost 400 broadcasters. The effort benefits current or past broadcasters and their families who have fallen on hard times.
