Ga. Hall of Fame Names Candidates

Eight will be inducted this fall

The Georgia Hall of Fame released the names of candidates for induction under its Career Achievement category.

Internet voting by members begins July 1. Voting members select three; the top eight will be inducted during ceremonies in October.

The candidates are:

Paul Beliveau – WMAZ – Macon – News
Matt Cook – WGST – Atlanta – News Director and head of Ga. Radio News
Bill Elder – WAYS – Macon – Mornings
Bob Harrison-WVLD – Valdosta – Jock
Nate Hirsch – WWNS – Statesboro – Owner and Voice of Ga. Southern football
Oscar Leverette – WNEX – Macon – Engineer
John Moore – WSB – Atlanta – Announcer
Johnny “Bee” Mosses – WACL – Waycross -Jock and MD
Fred Newton- WMAZ – Macon – General Manager
Lauren Nobles – WGIG – Brunswick -Talk Show Host
Ron O’Quinn – WMGA – Moultrie – Was a jock at Radio Caroline in the 60’s
Bruce Stevens – WBBQ – Augusta – Jock, MD, and PD
Tom Sullivan – WQXI – Atlanta – Jock and “Quixie Quacker”
Bob Todd – WQXI – Atlanta – Jock and PD
