Garden State Broadcasters Gather Next Month

June in Atlantic City is the destination, discount ends this week

The New Jersey Broadcasters Association’s 65th annual convention is fast approaching. Scheduled for June 12–13 at Caesars Atlantic City, the early bird room discount ends Friday.

Scheduled to address the broadcast multitudes will be Steve Forbes. Michael Harrison of Talkers Magazine is scheduled for a Super Session. 

Other sessions will be devoted to sales, programming, PPM, Pandora, engineering, EAS/CAP, the FCC and student broadcasters. All sessions will take place on Wednesday, June 13.

New Jersey’s new EAS system, EmNet, will be demonstrated by Jared Maynard from Comlabs. He will be joined by NJBA engineer and ABIP Inspector Dale Gehman, along with representatives from the N.J. State Police and government.

Charlie Sislen, president of Research Director, Inc. will examine ratings and the promises of would-be competitors to radio in “Programming, PPM and Pandora.”
