GatesAir Supports Israeli FM Network Expansion

Israeli Ministry of Defense selects GatesAir to provide radio solutions for multiple transmitter sites

GatesAir has announced that it will exclusively support a multisite expansion of an existing FM radio network for the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD).

According to the company, the complete turnkey solution includes GatesAir Flexiva FM transmitters across five power levels, with third-party antennas, cabling and accessories for local tower sites. The new transmitters will be deployed throughout Israel, extending an FM radio network that includes GatesAir transmitters at many existing sites.

The Flexiva, which is based on the GatesAir PowerSmart 3D architecture, includes features such as hot-swappable modules and power supplies as well as a lighter weight, says the firm.

The Flexiva transmitters will cover power requirements for 1 kW, 2 kW, 5 kW 10 kW and 20 kW. Each transmitter will include built-in Flexiva FAX exciters.

Bezeq, the largest telecommunications network in Israel, operates the FM network on behalf of IMOD.
