Emmis unveiled the next generation of the NextRadio FM smartphone app.
LiveGuide is a visual tuning interface that displays local radio stations by real-time album art or custom schedule content. It’s one of several improvements to the app.
Emmis CTO Paul Brenner says the changes make for “a really simple approach. We needed to make it easier for the listener” to use.
Another change is a streamlined navigation “drawer” that puts all user options on one place. Emmis Chairman/President/CEO Jeff Smulyan calls the update “a major breakthrough.”
