FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski is serious about using new tools and technologies to invite the public’s input on issues the agency is considering. The chairman has posted a video blog — the first for him and the first for a Federal Communications Commission chairman.
“New media technologies will also encourage the widest possible participation in what the FCC does,” he stated. The video follows the launch of Blogband on the FCC’s Broadband.gov site and the commission’s presence on Twitter last month.
The blog is about the commission’s plan to rollout broadband; that’s also the topic of its next monthly public meeting, slated for Sept. 29.
