WASHINGTON�Beasley Broadcast Group founder and CEO George Beasley, is set to receive the National Association of Broadcasters and Radio Advertising Bureau�s National Radio Award during the�2015 Radio Show.

Beasley launched his first radio station in Benson, N.C., in 1961 while he was working in education, before pursuing broadcasting full-time in 1969. Beasley Media Group, a subsidiary of�Beasley Broadcast Group, is headquartered in Naples, Fla.; it owns and operates 53 radio stations in 12 markets across the U.S.
Beasley was previously honored by the Library of American Broadcasting as a �Giant of Broadcasting� in 2012. He also received the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters in 1996; is a member of NCAB and the Nevada Broadcasters Associations Hall of Fames, and was named Broadcaster of the Year by the Florida Association of Broadcasters in 2011.
The 2015 Radio Show will be held Sept. 30�Oct. 2 in Atlanta.
